"NO MAKEUP" MAKEUP LOOK

"Back to school" is the perfect time of year to try the no-makeup makeup look (if you haven’t already). It’s all about a fresh faced glow and letting your natural beauty shine through. It also feels lighter on the skin, allowing you to breathe a little easier and worry less about touching up throughout the day, something you will appreciate if you are a student. Carrying makeup around in your schoolbag all day as well as all your books? No thank you!

FACE
It is extremely important to start off with a clean, moisturized face whether you're going for a natural look or a more intense glam look. Let your moisturizer settle for 5-10 minutes before applying any face makeup.
To get a glowing, natural look, a CC cream or a light coverage, dewy foundation does the trick perfectly! If that doesn't quite do the job for you, going in with a concealer to cover any other blemishes should fix that!
When doing this makeup look, the aim is to look as least "cakey" as possible therefore to achieve this powders wont be missed!

EYES
On my eyes I used a small amount of concealer to cancel out any veins or "imperfections" on my eyelids. I then curled my lashes and applied a brown mascara to my top and bottom lashes. If your school does not allow makeup, maybe settling for a clear mascara would be the best option.

EYEBROWS
Luckily, I have never had to worry too much about my eyebrows, I inherited my dads bushy brows and for that I am very grateful! Here I lightly swept through a few strokes of an ABH eyebrow pencil and set it with an eyebrow mascara. For those of you with fairer hair you may want to consider filling them in that extra bit more, as long as you find the right colour to match, you'll have no problem.

LIPS
Easiest step ever! Lip balm.
Whether it is EOS or vaseline I don't not leave my house without one. Personally, I think a shine to the lip finishes off this look perfectly.

If you are recreating this look but want something a little heavier, switching a CC cream for a foundation, no powder for powder, brown mascara for black and lip balm for a lip gloss or lipstick will help you achieve what you're looking for!

Eyes of January!

Over the past year or so I have noticed in myself that I am the biggest creature of habit there ever was to exist. Once I find something I love it will become my "go-to" until I find something new to go crazy about. Whether it is a hairstyle, make-up look or song I will milk it out until the point of having to change.
This month, being straight after Christmas I have had little money to buy new make-up and in general little time to get creative. One thing that has most definitely not changed this month is my eye make-up.
Apart from a wash of cream shadows on my lids for school, when going out I have kept my look pretty similar throughout the past few weeks.

On my lids I have been using pale pinks from my Revolution 32 Mattes palette which I love so very much, with a darker pink and burgundy shade in the crease. Personally, I prefer to stick to all matte shades during the day.

At night I have been adding to the same look by applying a black to deepen my crease for a more sultry look along with my all time favorite dark purple shade "Sexy" from the "Nude'tude" palette. Of course a shimmer shade is essential and with this look "Stand-offish" has simply made the look by applying it to my inner corners and lid.

Finally, I have been using Benefits Roller Lash religiously to give that final fluttery look my eyes.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and are having a lovely January. Big thanks to all my readers and stay tuned as I have so much exciting coming up over the next month! So Kyla x

Soap&Glory Archery Brow Pencil and Brow Bar REVIEW

Unlike many people, doing my brows is by far my favorite part of doing my make-up. Some say a lipstick can make your look however in my eyes so can your eyebrows.
I hate not having my brows done, it makes me feel uncomfortable and a tad self-conscience however I don't always have hours spare to perfect them everyday. Thanks to the Soap&Glory eyebrow products I can kiss these worries goodbye as they are super easy to use and take no time!

For everyday usage I usually opt for the "2-1 Brow Filling Pencil and Brush" purely because its quick and works wonders to my eyebrows leaving them "on fleek!" It has the tiniest nib on one end making the product come out extremely precise and buildable. On the other end is a little brush with the sharpest bristles, again another advantage to the product itself.
As I mentioned previously I love doing my eyebrows therefore when I have a little more time the "DIY Brow Bar" is ideal! Personally, the shade Hot Chocolate works best for my darker brows like the pencil itself, however, it does state on the box "The shades inside custom mix to suit everybody's brows"!
Overall, I am loving using these products and so far I am yet to come across the downsides of them...if there even is any!

I extremely recommend both of these products and hope that this review has helped any of you doubting whether or not to buy them.

Hope you are all well X
